SG Arrival Card FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Singapore Arrival Card is an electronic landing card that facilitates the submission of arrival information and trip details for citizens of visa-required and visa-exempt countries that wish to enter Singapore. The Electronic Arrival Card for Singapore intends to replace the paper-based disembarkation/embarkation (D/E) card.

The Singapore Electronic Arrival Card can be obtained by completing an easy and straightforward online application. There is no need to visit an embassy or consulate to obtain the SG Arrival Card prior to visiting Singapore

The authorized stay an SG Arrival Card holder is granted in Singapore is determined by their nationality, and the purpose of their trip. Please bear in mind that the Electronic Arrival Card is not a visa.

The SG Arrival Card allows a single entry into the country for a single citizen.

An Electronic Arrival Card is valid for a single entry starting from the intended date of arrival stated in your application form.

The Electronic Arrival Card can be requested online by travelers at any time. The approved Electronic Arrival Card will be sent to the email address you provide on your form in time for your trip, taking into account your arrival date in Singapore.

The Electronic Arrival Card is necessary to enter Singapore for most travelers.

However, citizens from multiple nationalities are required to have an SG Arrival Card and also an approved Singapore visa in order to enter the country. These documents can be obtained separately.

Travelers from the following countries need to obtain both a SG Arrival Card and an approved Singapore visa:

  • An evisa: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Yemen
  • A consular visa: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, People’s Republic of China, Georgia, India, Kyrgyzstan, People’s Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Malaysia, Russia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

To apply online for a Singapore Electronic Arrival Card, applicants may need the following:

  • A current passport with more than six (6) months validity from the date of arrival. The passport should have at least one (1) blank page for border crossing stamps
  • Accommodation information, such as name and address of hotel or hostel, etc.
  • Transportation information such as flight details, intended date of arrival, etc.

The SG Arrival Card is valid for entry in Singapore through the following designated entry points:

  • Singapore Changi Airport - SIN
  • Woodlands checkpoint
  • Tuas checkpoint
  • Singapore Cruise Centre
  • Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal
  • Changi Point Ferry Terminal
  • Changi Ferry Terminal

However, vaccinated Singapore residents and Long-Term Pass holders may not need to provide a SG Arrival Card if they are entering through the Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints.

Citizens and nationals from the visa-exempt countries and visa-required countries listed below are eligible to apply online for an SG Arrival Card. This includes travelers from China, Indonesia, India, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Korea, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam, and Thailand.

However, the SG Arrival Card may not be needed for transit passengers who are not seeking immigration clearance and for vaccinated Singapore residents and Long-Term Pass holders entering through land.

All minors, whether included on an adult’s passport or not, must submit an individual SG Arrival Card application form per child.

Underage citizens with their own passport, or those included on their parent’s passport, must present their SG Arrival Card at the border control checkpoint.

Once the application form is complete and all requested information has been provided, the Singapore Electronic Arrival Card will be processed within 1 day. In some cases, it can take up to 2 days.

Once you receive your approved SG Arrival Card, you will simply need to present your passport for immigration clearance upon arrival in Singapore. Singapore’s immigration system will already have the electronic arrival card which you submitted in advance.

Applicants who wish to visit Singapore need a minimum passport validity of six (6) months when they arrive in Singapore. Therefore, your passport must be valid during the application process and take into account your arrival date in Singapore.

If you have two (2) passports due to dual nationality, you must choose the passport you will use to travel to and enter Singapore.

Travelers with dual citizenship must introduce the data of the chosen passport on their SG Arrival Card application. There cannot be any inconsistencies between the approved SG Arrival Card and the passport information provided on the Singapore Electronic Arrival Card application.

Updates and notifications on the Electronic Arrival Card application will be sent to applicants via email to the electronic address provided when completing the form.

The CVV/CVC/CVC2 number refers to the three (3) or four (4) digit number printed on the back of your credit or debit card, immediately after the card's account number.

For American Express, the four (4) digit CVV number is printed on the front of the card above the account number.

Once the application has been submitted and payment has been made, the applicant will receive a confirmation email. Note that sometimes this message could be accidentally redirected to Spam/Junk mail folders.

The decision to grant or deny an Electronic Arrival Card is entirely at the discretion of Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

In the rare case that a Singapore Electronic Arrival Card application is rejected, you can contact us to request a full refund.

We strongly recommend that all applicants check the information they provide in their applications carefully before submitting them. Taking a few minutes to revise your details before submission is essential.

Any errors in the data provided can result in the rejection of the SG Arrival Card application. All information must be introduced in the application form exactly as it appears on the traveler’s passport.
